To start off, this book is an adaptation of Marley & Me. Now I haven't read that book but I have seen the movie so I am guessing that the book is extremly similar to this. Anyways, this is sort of like a Non-Fiction book but it does go under Fiction.

Marley (a dog like no other) is about the author and his life with his dog named Marley. In the story though he changes some characters names and stuff but almost everything in the book is based off of real life from John Grogan. I knew going into it that it was aimed towards younger kids but I have to say that some things in the book I wouldn't really recommend a elementary grade kid to read.

Marley is a well-written story about a family and their dog Marley. Throughout the book you see the rough side of Marley and the soft little sweet side. (He was always a nice dog but had a different way of showing it) John and his wife Jenny wanted a dog and Marley was the one that they ended up with. They had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Marley was always running around, tearing up furniture, and eating anything and everything. (literally) The one thing that Marley hated was thunderstorms and lightining. That was when he got the craziest!

The whole story was about the family and the dog and everything that happened while they had him. The end of the book (around the last 3-4 chapters) were really sad. (I have to admit I cried a little)

If you have read the book (either Marley & Me or this one) or see the movie I think you might've cried just a little also. I don't really want to say what happens but I think that you can kind of figure it out yourselves!

In the end I really enjoyed this book and it only took me a few hours to read, so if you want something short and sweet I think this book will do! I know that the review if a little short but the whole book like I said is about the life of Marley and everything crazy that happend throughout it!
