"A Bend in the Road" by Nicholas Sparks

"Miles Ryan's life seemed to end the day his wife was killed in a hit-and-run accident two years ago. As deputy sheriff of New Bern, North Carolina, he not only grieves for her and worries about their young son Jonah but longs to bring the unknown driver to justice. Then Miles meets Sarah Andrews, a difficult divorce, Sarah moved to New Bern hoping to start over. Tentatively, Miles and Sarah reach out to each other... soon they are falling in love. But what neither realizes is that they are also bound together by a shocking secret, one that will force them to reexamine everything they believe in- including their love."

In "A Bend in the Road" Miles Ryan's life is turned upside down when his wife was hit by a car while she was jogging. For two years Miles was trying to figure out who did this to him and his son Jonah. He never thought that he could move on but one day he is asked to go to Jonah's school to talk to his teacher and that is when he meets Sarah Andrews. Sarah went through a really bad divorce and never thought that she could love someone again. Miles and Sarah started seeing each other but one day she comes to Mile house with her brother Brian and tells him some terrible news. Brian was the one that hit his wife and killed her. Brian told Miles that a dog ran up and Missy got scared ran into the road and Brian didn't have enough time to stop and he hit her. It was just an accident, but he didn't want to tell anyone. In the long run Miles new that it was an accident and he found the dog that did and he knew then that he was telling the truth for sure. Miles let Brian free and he left Sarah for a little while. During Christmas break Miles and Jonah came back to New Bern, North Carolina to see Sarah.

This book has everything you could want. Suspense, a love story and mystery. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. You all should definitely read this book!
